Program is designed to assist public housing residents in making progress towards economic self-sufficiency
through workshops and training events on financial literacy,career development, scholarship applications, and
computer literacy, among other topics. We will send out newsletters frequently with upcoming opportunities for
residents, so stay tuned!
February Virtual Career Fair
Join BHA for its first virtual career fair! Speak with well-
known employers like Amazon and the U.S. Postal
Service to learn how to apply for open positions. The
virtual fair will allow employers to discuss hiring
opportunities and Q&A for prospective applicants.

Now Hiring: BHA Tenant
Coordinator
BHA is now hiring for its Tenant Coordinator position
to better coordinate between the Construction
Management Division, the Housing Manager, and
tenants. Applicants should have a high school diploma
or GED and be fluent in English.

Training Program
Attend a free full-time training program for entry-level

Training will be both remote and in-person; MBTA

Apply to the Apprenti apprenticeship program to be
put on the fast-track for jobs and training in the
technology industry. Apprenti is actively recruiting

partnered on the MLK Day of Service to create
business professional community closets! Get free
suits, blazers, shirts, dresses, ties and more by
reaching out to your site's Service Coordinator, listed
at the bottom of this newsletter.
YMCA Youth Virtual
Learning Center
Are you a Ruth Barkley resident with a child doing
virtual learning? The YMCA is offering free full-time
learning support and child care to children 5-13 in its
Community Learning Center. The center operates
weekdays 8AM-4PM with breakfast and lunch
provided.

Northeastern University
Scholarship
Northeastern University is offering full-tuition
scholarships for BHA residents who are looking to earn
their bachelor's degree. The scholarship is for recent
high school graduates or adult learners and
accommodates all schedules, including evening
classes.

The Family Van Health Care
Services
If you're unable to afford annual wellness exams with a
doctor, consider calling the Family Van! The van
provides free screenings for blood pressure,
cholesterol, obesity, depression, vision issues and
other conditions.
