2022 Honors Ticket Purchasing Guidelines

The Kennedy Center Honors, while recognizing the pinnacle of achievement in arts and

culture, is also a major fundraiser for the Center’s arts and education programs. As such,

tickets to the gala performance are offered as follows:

Ticket Purchasing Guidelines

Priority Access Eligibility:

- Donors who contribute $10,000 or more annually are eligible to request tickets

during the Priority Access period, which is now open. These donors may purchase

Gala Dinner tickets and Performance Only tickets.

- Donors who contribute $700 - $9,999 annually will be invited at a later date, to be

determined, to purchase any remaining tickets or be placed on the priority waitlist.

These donors may purchase Performance Only tickets. Upgrades to Gala Dinner

tickets will be offered based on availability.

astly, at a date to be determined, the public is invited to purchase any remaining

tickets or be placed on the waitlist. These guests may purchase Performance Only

tickets.

Ticket Quantity

- Ticket quantity is determined by giving level, as displayed in the Ordering

Guidelines Chart.

- Any tickets requested above these guidelines will be placed on the waitlist and

cleared based on availability.

Seating Section:

- Seating sections are prioritized as outlined in the Ordering Guidelines Chart, but

everyone is invited to request seats in any section, as available.

- Should seats not be available in your preferred section, you will receive a refund for

the difference in the per-ticket price.

- Box Seating is available to donors with an annual contribution of $200,000 or more.

Ticket Request Process:

- You are invited to request tickets when you are eligible based on your giving.

- Your ticket request can be made via check, credit card, or wire transfer.

- Please note we are unable to process payments for tickets deriving from

Donor Advised Funds due to tax regulations governing these funds.

- Payments will be processed at the time of the ticket request.

- Tickets are not confirmed until communicated explicitly by the Honors office.

- If your original request is not available, you will be placed in the best available

seating section. Your original request will be placed on the waitlist should additional

seats become available.

Additional Information and Reminders:

- Order Confirmation: Payment is taken at the time you request your order, but your

order

is not confirmed until the Honors Office contacts you explicitly confirming as

such.

Any orders that cannot be confirmed will be refunded.

Split Orders: We will make every effort to seat tickets together as ordered. Orders of 7

tickets or more

will

be split for donors who contribute less than $500,000 annually.

- Waitlist: Changes often occur during the ordering process that impact ticket

availability. If you are flexible enough to remain on a waitlist, there may be an

opportunity to upgrade your seating section or purchase additional tickets. If it is not

possible to fulfill your request for additional or upgraded tickets, a refund will be issued

for any difference in price between what was requested versus accommodated.

- Gala Dinner Seating: Gala Dinner tickets are reserved for donors contributing

$10,000 or more annually. All other requests for Gala Dinner seating will be filled as

available.

Box Seating: Box seats are available for donors who contribute $200,000 or more

annually, and must be purchased in pairs. Should any box seats remain after those

orders are filled, they will be made available to other donors.

- Refunds: We regret that no refunds can be given after November 18, 2022 due to

cancellations. Refunds due to orders that cannot be filled will be issued following the

event.

- Annual Giving: Your annual giving total includes all contributions to the Center,

WNO, NSO, and any special campaigns and events

with the exception of

Honors tickets

and donated performance tickets.
