The Wabaunsee High School Booster Club is 100% staffed by parent volunteers. Each year the Booster
Club turns over one or more board members and additional volunteers as their students graduate from
the school. We need your help to fill these openings to continue to support the program. If you can devote
the time, the Boosters can use your valuable help.
The following describes the volunteer opportunities that are available each year (this is not an all-
encompassing list).
Sports Buttons
Commemorate school, cheer, and sports participation and show team spirit with Photo Buttons. Looking
for at least two volunteers for this year long project – memories that last forever!
Fundraising Events
The Booster Club holds several fundraisers throughout the year where parent participation is vital. We
always need individuals who will help plan and execute these events.

Business Booster Appreciation Dinner

Pork Meal / Mulligan at football game

Soup supper / or other meal at basketball games
€
Business signs at football field – collect renewals and ask for new business
Recognition and Participation Activities
We are always looking for new and exciting ways to encourage attendance and promote positive Charger
Spirit! In the past, we have done, “Little Charger Spirit Club, “Student of the Game” and “Theme Night” –
to name a few. Additionally,

Awards Banquet- in partnership with High School Administration – seasonal

Communication – Getting the word out about our activities, events and programs. E-mail the
school to send out in their distribution list, manage/start social media for booster club, distribute
announcements through various channels

Team donations if they make it to state/nationals, etc – please note that due to KSHAA rules – an
aggregate total of $25 is allowed per student.

Hospitality Room

Senior calendar (Please note – Booster Club does not do individual senior posters that hang at
field/gym – that is a senior parent activity)
Promenade/After-prom
Most people don’t realize that this is a Booster Club Event – to keep our students as safe as possible, we
sponsor the promenade and after-prom event. This truly is an all-hand on deck event!
