Non-Approved Out of State Nursing Education Programs
In accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act, Md. Code Ann., Health Occ. ("Health Occ.") § 8-101 et seq., specifically Health Occ. §§ 8-302(b) and (c), all applicants for licensure as an RN or LPN must
have completed satisfactorily and met all requirements for a diploma or degree from either: (1) An education program approved by the Board (applicable to in-state programs); or (2) An education program in any
other state or country that the Board finds substantially equivalent to the education program in Maryland at the time of the applicant's graduation.
The following Nursing Education Programs have NOT met the requirements to be substantially equivalent under NPA § 8-302(b) (2) COMAR
10.27.03. Consequently applicants who attended a PN/RN nursing education program at any of the following nursing programs will not meet minimum qualifications for licensure as a PN/RN in the
State of Maryland.
